LYME DISEASE
Lyme disease is a multi-system
disorder
caused by the spirochete bacteria Borrelai burgdorferi and transmitted
by ticks. It's the most commonly reported tick-borne disease
in
the U. S. human population reported by CDC. Lyme-positive dogs have
been reported in all 48 contiguous states in the US and 0.6% of dogs
tested at WAH during 2008 have been positive. To prevent lyme
